How to Be Your Air Conditioner’s Best Friend

Posted by admin on January 19, 2012 in Uncategorized |

There are several things you can do to take care of your air conditioner and make life a little longer and easier.

How does your air conditioner? In short, an air conditioning unit removes heat from the air and a fan blowing open. A fan drew air in the living room through a condenser and evaporator filled with the transfer of cold air in your home. It is clear that the movement of air by fans is an important part of the system. That’s why it’s so important to replace filters at least once a month.

As the dust is removed, is trapped in the filter, and be amazed at how quickly the dust accumulates. Trying to draw air through a clogged filter just makes the fan work harder, increasing your electricity bill.

The same happens with the fan on the outdoor unit. Make sure the outside of the unit away from shrubs and other vegetation growth, and keep the unit clean and free of leaves and dirt as possible. Provide at least five feet away at the top and two feet on all sides of the unit.

When using air conditioning, the best method is to leave the temperature setting in a convenient location. The more it moves up and down the temperature, the work must be done to your system. If you must move the temperature setting, make a movement as small as possible.

Dishwashers, washing machines, dryers and stoves generate heat and humidity in the room. Try to schedule washing and cooking in the morning or evening to avoid the imposition of your air conditioner in the heat of the day. Use exhaust fans in the kitchen, and dryer outlets to provide air conditioning in your hand.

Sunlight is also the enemy of CA. Keep curtains and blinds to keep the sun streaming into the room. More than 20 percent of your bill may be caused by sunlight.

Also, be sure to drain the condensation of drops clear. Pour a cup of regular laundry bleach to the drain once a month to kill algae and mildew and keep drains running smoothly.
